Hannah Malarski
Hannah Malarski is a writer and performer for the stage, screen and internet. She is not the only lesbian Hannah from Tasmania but is definitely the fourth most well known.
A NIDA playwriting graduate, in 2022, she won three awards for AACTA’s comedy initiative; AACTA LMAO. In the same year, she collaborated with AACTA and META on creating exclusive, original comedy content at META’s state of the art studios. She is the writer and performer for live comedy show Big Dyke Energy for Melbourne Fringe in 2023.
In 2020 she co-wrote and directed four part web-series HustlePuss for The Daughter's Collective. Hannah co-wrote the critically acclaimed The Jacobeans, a play performed as part of Midsumma Festival, 2015. She wrote and performed acclaimed one act play, Bushpig as part of the Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney Fringe Festivals, 2013. She wrote The Midlands, a play co-produced by Theatre North, Arthur Productions and published with Australia Plays Transform.
Currently based in Sydney, Hannah is committed to making a serious go of this performance making thing so she can fund her partner’s early retirement in 2098. Besides, she’s not very good at much else.
